Google Voice has changed the way VoIP application works. Ever since Google introduced Google Voice, people found ways to maximise their use of Google voice whether its with Gizmo5 or Mobile phones or Skype.
You can even use Google Voice for BlackBerry, Nokia, Android, Palm Pre or Windows Mobile phones. You can even make free calls using Google Voice. But today what I am going to show you is how you can integrate Google Voice with your Skype account and actually get free SkypeIn number.

So here is how you can get Free SkypeIn with Gizmo5 + Google Voice.
- Skype Account
- Gizmo5 Account
- And Google Voice Account..
Open up your Gizmo5 accout page at my.gizmo5.com and select Skype forwarding and put in your skype name. Tell Gizmo to forward all calls to skype. Check out the screenshot below..
Next, scroll up and put in your google voice information in the Google Voice panel.
After you have turned that feature on, fire up Google Voice in another panel. in the Gizmo5 window, go and get your SIP number from your account Overview panel. Copy that to your clipboard.
Now, go over to google voice. Go to your settings > Phones. Add a phone. Fill in the number field with your Gizmo number. Change the phone type to gizmo.
Open up skype. When google asks to confirm this number, you have t answer it in skype. When you answer it, open the number pad and enter the two digit authorization code on the GV website. You are done.. You have a complete free phone setup with your Gizmo5 + Google Voice + Skype.
When you make a call from google voice and tell it to call your skype phone, just pick up in skype and be connected for free! It's that easy!
