I remember when I was in college, I saw the first Indian 3D Movie Chhota Chetan that featured Urmila Matondkar as Miss Hawa Hawai. The movie itself was not that great but the 3D experience was amazing. After watching that movie, I thought why aren't they making every movie in 3D?

Technology has changed quite a bit now. Many Hollywood movies are now coming in 3D. Even Adlabs in Agra launched 6D theater that will allow real three-dimensional images right before audiences' eyes, thus allowing them to simultaneously experience sight, smell, sound, touch, motion and above all – interactivity. But I am going to show you how you can create your own 3D movie with two cameras.

Youtube recently launched a new feature and a dedicated channel for 3 dimentional videos (3D videos) where you can watch 3D movies and upload your own 3D videos on youtube.

So to make YouTube 3D popular, Google has provided some basic steps to create 3D video using your two digital cameras.

    • Use two cameras arranged like a pair of eyes.
    • Start both cameras recording simultaneously.
    • In your video editing program, place the footage for the left and right eyes together in the frame side by side, with the right eye on the left and the left eye on the right.
    • Upload your video! Edit your videos tags and add yt3d:enable=true. If video is widescreen, add yt3d:aspect=16:9 too.
  • You can access Youtube 3D if you have one of those 3D glasses.
