SatNav, a Hyderabad based IT products company which started providing GPS devices for India announced the launch of "Citizens Mapper", a way to crowd source their mapping data.
SatNav has launched an Indian Maps website called RoadsOfIndia.com. First of all, the site is a lame effort from SatNav to provide an online mapping solution. The site is no way near user friendly. Few issues include, slow, no detailed data, SLOW.
No doubt that SatNav has lot of POIs(Point of Interests) such as Shopping stores, petrol pumps etc but the map itself is not marked with names or landmarks. The site has features where users can search for directions from one point to another point, location search or City Maps etc.
Half of my searches returned me "No Data Found" messages. May be you can find something useful with RoadsOfIndia.com. Give it a shot
