Browsers are the heart of Internet. No browser, no internet goodies for you. It was only Internet Explorer that everyone knew about as a browser but then came Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome. Everyone liked Firefox because of its ability to provide extensions to enhance your browsing experience.

Browsing is fun but when you are bombarded with all those annoying ads, its frustrating. When the firefox was launched, the best extension developed was AdBlock Plus. The extension gets rid of all those annoying ads from any site that you visit.

Firefox was good but was hogging up computer resources. Then came Google Chrome, the fastest internet browser. The only thing Chrome was missing was AdBlock Plus. Not anymore!!

Adblock Plus, the most popular Firefox extension, is now also available for the Google Chrome browser! Adblock Plus is a community driven open source project that allows users to contribute and use the filters to block unwanted advertisements from the websites.

Once you install the extension, it creates a small red "ABP" icon next to your address bar. By default, it is enabled on all the websites you are surfing. So basically you don't see any advertisements on any websites. You can choose to disable the Adblock plus on your choice of sites though.

The experience of using Chrome Adblock Plus is same as firefox but lacks some advance features but it is still in beta and may improve over the time. I think the Chrome Adblock extension is in my "must have" extensions list.
