ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) launched Cartosat-2A and IMS-1 successfully by PSLV-C9 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota on April 28, 2008. Within the month of its launch, ISRO presented a High quality imageries acquired from Cartosat-2A and Indian Mini Satellite-1 (IMS-1) to Prime Minsiter Manmohan Singh.

"We are going to launch our own satellite images on the web within six months from now. Our images are quite good and even better than Google," ISRO chairman G. Madhavan Nair dislosed here Thursday.
