Obopay which started its operations in India recently has tied up with YES BANK. Now YES Bank customers can send money from any mobile number to any mobile number instantly. This can be done either by the Obopay application (need to download the application on your handset) or using a web application having GPRS connectivity or using SMS facility.
Customers can transfer upto Rs 25,000 per transaction. Customers can instantly withdraw cash received through such transfers from over 21,000 ATM’s across the country using the YES BANK debit card. Paymate on the other hand has gone international and tied up with Sri Lanka's No.1 Bank Bank Of Ceylon(BOC) to offer user friendly mobile payment option to its customers.
Tata Teleservices Ltd has also partnered with Paymate. Tata Indicom customers now can book domestic flight tickets on their mobile phones. You need to download an application from Tata Zone. The charges for the application vary from Rs 10 for a three-day trial up to Rs 30 a month
