Apple iPhone 5 will have a four inch screen. Its samples are already under test before an estimated summer launch. It will look much different from iPhone 4S. It has a flat case and does not have a tear drop shape as expected. The information is coming out of Chinese supplier, Foxconn.

Several samples of the handset are already under test.  This was revealed from the Apple Blog 9to5Mac.  The final model has not yet been selected. All the drawing are considerably different from iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Many Apple watchers had predicted the tear drop shape for the new model but that idea has been dropped.

iPhone 5 will be involving the Lytro camera technology. This technology captures additional information of a particular scene with ease. It is not just a simple representation of colored pixel grades. Additional information like the direction of the sun’s rays and how they are entering the camera lens will be recorded. The intensity of the rays will also be processed before the image is ready. This additional information can modify the photograph even more.

With the use of this camera technology and combining it with the high resolution retina display.  iPhone 5 is also likely to support the 802.11 AC Wireless Standard. This will make Gigabit Wireless networking a possibility. iPhone 5 and iPad 3 may have full support for this turbo charged wireless networking technology. The 802.11 AC Standard is three times faster than the 802.11n Standard. It is likely that Apple’s Notebook range will also use this technology.
