The study was done by Flurry Analytics. About a year ago, mobile users were spending a considerable amount of time using the web browser on their phones or tablets. The average was around sixty five minutes per day. Comparatively, they were only spending about forty five minutes on Apps on an average. Now, against a ninety five minute average on Apps, the time spent surfing the web on an average is around seventy five minutes. The end result is that people are spending much more time just looking at the phones than they previously used to.
What is the reason behind spending more time on mobile Apps? As per Flurry Analytics, people are using the Apps more frequently which they find convenient to access throughout the day. The principal reason is that mobile users are accessing the Facebook and other online services more and more through Apps.
For this reason, more and more sites are being built nowadays using the latest web mark up language, HTML 5 that gives websites more App-like features. HTML 5 supports geo-location and makes the web forms easier to fill out on your phones and supports coding scripts. It also loads multimedia elements faster in web pages.
