They have announced this at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. They are looking forward towards mobile devices to drive up their slim profit margins. The company already has a seven per cent share of the U.S. computer market. They are in the process of establishing relationships with wireless carriers like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. They are also contacting the distributors as they assess the market place.

Lenovo is currently selling the S2 smartphone in China. In the United States, they are busy with building up of the network initially before they decide to put their products on the market shelves.
At the same show about a couple of years back, Lenovo launched the `Lephone’ smartphone. The phone is only available in the Chinese market right now. At this year’s show, they showed off their new addition, the IdeaPad Yoga, a touch screen notebook that folds and flips backward, making it a large tablet.
