There is a total Facebook scare in Bangalore. Over two hundred thousand victims in Bangalore have got their Facebook accounts hacked. Mid Day has given a news report that the users not only got their accounts hacked but even web links to their morphed porno pictures were sent as feeds to friends and family.

This is a jolting shocker. The social networking analysts have reported that the accounts were really hacked. The cyber crime department also has reported receiving complaints and calls concerning the mass hacking.

Such an event has also resulted in forced closures and there are many posts on Facebook that suggest the users quitting the social networking site forever after being embarrassed in front of their family and friends.

As per a Bloomberg report, Facebook is already aware of the situation and has claimed that it has identified those people who are responsible for the mixing of violent images and pornography in the users’ newsfeeds. Facebook is working with its legal team to enforce strict consequences on the people accused.

Facebook has made this statement after pictures of extreme violence, fake photos of celebrities and porn pictures had over run the profiles of some Facebook users. Facebook has said that it has limited the damage considerably which had been caused by a spam attack that took advantage of a browser vulnerability. Facebook wants to protect the people who use their site from malicious content and spam on top priority. They feel that users have been tricked into pasting malware into their browsers which has resulted in the sharing of the offensive content.
