Spielberg entered into a deal with Columbia and Paramount Pictures in 2007 to produce the first installment of the planned three part series in the TinTin trilogy. That leaves DreamWorks with no lien at all on the film. In addition, the film has been co-directed and managed by Peter Jackson.
Reliance entered into a deal with DreamWorks Studio in 2009 with a 50% stake in the three hundred and twenty five million dollar funding contract. Reliance Entertainment undoubtedly owns the rights to distribute in India with a 50% stake in the profits on any movie the DreamWorks Studio makes but they cannot touch “The Secret of the Unicorn”. It has been made clear to them that the work on the film started years before Reliance came on to the scene.
Since this film opened on 26th October, it has already earned over id="mce_marker"25 million in forty five countries. It has easily grabbed the top spot for the second successive weekend. TinTin has stepped over every other film in every country.
