Zynga is launching directly and trying to move away fr

om Facebook. At an event in San Francisco, Zynga has announced that it is going to launch Zynga Direct which was earlier known as Project Z. It is going to be a new online community that will exist separately from Facebook. Zynga is one of the most successful video game companies today but it is not going to sit back and relax.

Zynga Direct is going to be the most connected gaming site socially and will host all the games that it has created so far. The Zynga Direct site will use the Facebook Connect Application Programming Interface and will let the players continue their interaction with those on Facebook but it will be adding new social features for its direct users. All those who play Zynga games currently can reserve zTags and the new gamer identities that are going to be used on the new site so that they can separate from the Facebook names.

Those gamers who will register for Zynga Direct will also get some virtual currency as an incentive factor. Zynga has not given any official date for the launch and it is still not clear if the company wants to make it the default play center for all of its games.

Zynga has announced some new initiatives including a new game called `Castleville’ which is closer than any other game to the classic structure of an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online). Zynga is planning to start distributing its games directly to users online or on their cell phones.
