Apparently, The Oscar-winner Sam Mendes is directing a new James Bond movie (Code name "Bond 23") which has few movie sequences shot in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Goa. The shooting will take place February and March next year and the film is slated for release in November 2012.
Among the conditions set by the ministry to allow them to film: that Mr. Craig lend himself to an Indian Railways television ad.
Infact the Indian Railway ministry has asked the directors of the James Bond 23 movie to change a stunt showing people travelling on train rooftops, saying it would depict the state-run railway in a poor light. (What a BS, just recently released Bollywood movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has a scene where people are travelling on the train roof top. So why have these conditions for outsiders?)
The train sequence is likely to be filmed near Ahmedabad, in India’s state of Gujarat, in January. According to timesofindia, other Indian locations the movie may be shot in include Goa and Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar, a market known for its knock-off high street clothing. The production company confirmed that they are planning to shoot parts of the movie in India but did not elaborate further.
So wait for James Bond to Promote Indian Railway now!!
