On 6^th August 1991, a British engineer and computer scientist, Sir Tim Berners-Lee created a system of interlinked hypertext documents to be accessed on the internet by using concepts from his earlier hypertext systems called the World Wide Web Consortium. It has been a score of years now that the World Wide Web is being used and that too, extensively. It was a revolutionary breakthrough.

The world celebrated the twentieth birthday of the World Wide Web yesterday. All the people have realized the extra ordinary significant changes this has brought into their lives. The considerable impact of its use today certainly marks a memorable day to celebrate all over.

With its operation, so many avenues have been opened for web companies to operate almost anywhere in the world. It has generated millions of jobs all over the world. It has opened the minds of people to welcome in their lives different cultures, ideas, ethnicity and races. It has changed the world entirely. Two decades ago, aspects of social and political actions online were never the same.

When we look back, the Atlantic Cable of 1866 was the first milestone of the information age when people were able to carry instantaneous communications across the oceans for the first time. Today, through the World Wide Web, the social networking sites are the most popular resource and attraction to many users all over the world to stay connected. Web-based technology is now controlling the world. The Web has become a unique creation of human development.
