Virgin Comics And Sony To Bring Ramayan Game Online

Sony Online Entertainment and Virgin Comics are planning to launch multiplayer online video game, based on comic book series Ramayan 3392 A.D.

Ramayan 3392 A.D. (formerly called Ramayana Reborn) is a comic book series based upon the Indian epic called Ramayana. It is written by Shamik Dasgupta and the art is by Abhishek Singh, and it was created based on a story by Deepak Chopra and Shekhar Kapur. (WikiPedia)

The concept of online gaming is catching up in India. Specially, multiplayer online game based on Indian epic Ramayan can create quite a wave if designed and marketed properly.

This reminded me a new mythological series started on Zee TV called 'Ravan'. Have you guys ever seen any episode of that series? I was initially excited about this as I thought it would give us more information about Ravan's personal life and his greatness. I started watching it and after couple of weeks, when they started showing Ravan's grand father's bull shit, I got fedup with that.

The whole dialog delivery and dialogs itself are so cheaply written. Come on, you are showing a mythological series, you should have some decency on the screen. Specially the episode where Ravan meets Mandodari was picturized as if we are watching a masala movie. Its just full of crap. You can not beat the original Ramayan and Mahabharat serials. Those two were legendary series.

Here is the youtube video I found about Virgin Comics Ramayan
