The most lucrative market for India is the matrimonial business. No matter how bad the economy is, people are going to get married, have kids --> kids grow up --> they get married --> they have kids and the circle continues.

Its good that companies like BharatMatrimony and Shaadi.com are keep innovating themselves and launching new features that would be helpful for the potential candidates.

BharatMatrimony today launched a new feature that will allow the members to send direct voice messages to the potential candidates.

Members can connect through Voice and exchange messages without revealing their phone number. Infact members can send messages without ringing the other person's phone and interrupting their personal space.

Members can record a voice message and send it to potential matches. They can listen to the message at their convenience and send a voice reply or decline the voice message if they are not interested. It is available to all the members world wide.

The question I have is, would it give you the perspective or the other person if you are just talking or listening from one side? Voice message concept is still not popular enough in India. I have an answering machine at my home and when I go out, I leave my answering machine on. Once I come back and check my answering machines, I see people on the other side whispering and confused and always wonder what to say when you don't find someone on the other side of the phone.

Either way, it is an interesting feature and I would love to hear from somone who would use it or have used it. Do you normally leave a voice message to someone?
