OnMobile, a VAS & Data Solutions company has launched its so called "first of its kind phone backup" product with Bharti Airtel. Users will have to download a client from either Bharti Airtel Website or by an SMS request. It will allow subscribers to effortlessly take a back up of all types of personal information including files, messages, videos, photos, music, contacts, calendar, events & tasks stored on their mobile.
The product is called "VoxBackup". VoxBackup is easy to use - All functionalities are accessible either from phone application or Selfcare Web Interface. The activation of the service can be done directly out of the phone shop, from operator web and mobile portal or from a customer console.
The service is available on both GPRS & non-GPRS handsets on a monthly subscription basis. If you don't want to go for this monthly service, I have found another way to backup your mobile phone data online for FREE.
The website called Zyb.com lets you securely backup your contacts, calendar and messages online for free. You can also share your contacts/messages/calendar with your friends and family by inviting them to the group. Zyb supports the widest range of mobile handsets and lets you manage your phone data through a web interface.
