Google Doesn't Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

May 5th is celebrated in Maxico as a Cinco de Mayo, initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

I have seen Google changing its logo for almost all the special days or holidays. You can tell the day by just visiting Google.com but I was surprised that Google has not changed its logo on Cinco de Mayo.

Not that I have something to do with Cinco de Mayo. I am neither a maxican nor I celebrate Cinco de Mayo but don't you think Google sometimes biased ??

Its not celebrated? 5 de mayo is the day Puebla won their first battle. Here is a news article where a parade took place in their famous street 5 de mayo bulevard. in Puebla. You can see pictures too.

Cinco de Mayo is not a large deal in Mexico. It's just another day there. The whole CdM thing is invented by bars and restaurants in the U.S. so they can sell more stuff. There is such a thing as too much multiculturalism, and this qualifies. Personally, I'd like to know why they don't celebrate more Native American holidays. What's up with that, guys?

I know its nothing to cry over but I still wondered why this happened. I called google corp. and they sent me over to their website to post a complain. The operator's instructions were not correct. I called another location in the santa monica area and this nice man who worked in the company didnt even know why they didnt change their logo. He was confused too. At first, he didnt believe me and he went to google.com himself. He was surprised and didnt know who I could ask about this matter. I gave up.

I want to know if there is anywhere we can write to or email to ask google their reasoning for not sponsoring 5 de mayo. Anyone know?

I swear I saw the Dancing mexicans around 12.10 pm for google logo. Now there isn't any.

IT IS STRANGE THAT GOOGLE DOESNT CHANGE ITS LOGO FOR CINCO DE MAYO ITS NOT SOMETHING TO CRY OVER BUT IT DOES RAISE AN EYEBROW I LOGGED ONTO YAHOO AND WAS LIKE WOW THATS PRETTY THAT THEYHAVE THE LITTLE MARIACHIS AND DANCERS SO I WAS LIKE LETS CHECK OUT GOOGLE CAUSE THEY SEEM TO SPONSOR EVERY HOLIDAY KNOWN EVEN THE ONES THAT IM NOT AWARE OF
