Finally, Mysore also gets its FM channel. Private FM radio by Reliance Group Big 92.7 forayed into Mysore from today. The FM has set up a seven-member studio in Kuvempunagar.

“We are the first FM radio station in Mysore. The programming mix of the station has been put together after much research and understanding of the local requirements,” said Kamal Mohandas.

The Rs 400-crore Adlabs Films Ltd of the Anil Ambani group with investments in transmission equipment, infrastructure and licensing has planned for a 1,000-strong national network. Its first station was launched last October and is present 24/7 in 36 cities. The Mysore station is the 37th. (via: Business Standard )
