Nivio, a windows based online desktop announced technology collaboration with AMD (Advance Micro Devices) to launch virtual desktops for the mass market.

 

"Our vision of 50x15 i.e. trying to enable 50 percent of the world's population with affordable Internet access and computing opportunities by 2015, is aimed to bridge the digital divide." said Alok Ohrie, Managing Director, AMD India.

 

Nivio is still under private beta testing mode. The site has gained some positive feedback from tech community.
