As part of the Nirmala Nagara, Municipal eGovernance project, 57 of the largest cities in Karnataka are to get a comprehensive citizen-friendly website by Aug 15th 2005(above 7 cities launch on July 1st 2005) providing not only information but also transaction capabilities.
Recently the corporation has launched their website www.mysoorcity.gov.in. It has uploaded data of about 4.80 lakh birth and death reports, and by creating facility for the public to file online complaints
The websites are designed to provide:
- City Financials
- City council and staff details
- Land use water and SWM Statistics
- Public Grievance and Redressal System
- Citizen friendly Pie charts and GIS Reports
Future Modules would include:
- Property Tax
- Financial Accounting
- Birth and Death Certification
- Ward Information System
The site also provides complaint tracking system where citizens can register their complains over Internet, phone, paper-form and get a tracking number. Based on the city administration, complains would be auto routed.
Citizens can download different forms in English or Kannada language and submit it to MCC. If a birth or death certificate is missing or improper on the website, the person who requires it can make an application for inclusion or correction. Citizens can search for a birth/death certificates online from MCC's website. (Via: Business Standard and Press Release)
