Tata Teleservices has introduced international calling cards worth Rs. 1000. This card will enable users to make ISD calls for as low as Rs. 1.99 per minute to US and Canada.
Reliance Communications also have similar calling cards. Reliance Global Calling Card is available in 5 denominations — Rs.115, Rs.225, Rs. 575, Rs. 1,130 and Rs. 1,900 (new launch). You can make ISD calls from any Reliance phone, be it postpaid (Reliance Mobile / Fixed Wireless phone) or Reliance Mobile prepaid.
Reliance Communications also has launced a calling card, Passport Outroamer for Indian travellers to make calls anywhere from any phone. Calls from US to India will be charged Rs 5.5 per minute using this card.
This card will enable travellers to make calls from Canada, UK, Singapore, Australia and Malaysia to India and over 200 other countries at rates varying from Rs 5.5 to Rs 13.9 per minute. For making a call, customers have to dial in an access number that leads to an IVR (Interactive Voice response), which then guides the customer. (The Hindu)
