A new study by the scientist in Europe have shown that your iPod or any other MP3 player can cause you a irreparable hearing damage even if you listen to music for an hour daily.

The temporary impact on people's hearing is because of the damage caused to the hair cells in the outer ear.The study was conducted between people in the age group of 19 and 28, the participants were asked to listen to pop or rock music for six one hour long sessions using two different types of headphones and at varying, preset volumes, reported  'The Daily Telegraph' .

After the each session the scientist measured the response time of the participant by exposing them to two sounds of variable frequencies to check how clearly the people could hear.

The results then were compared with 14 people of the same ages and found that Mp3 players can cause irreparable hearing damage.
