Here comes, a good news for the internet lovers who need high speed internet connection to beat the slow and pathetic.

BSNL has launched its new fastest broadband connection in India- up to 24 Mbps speed. This comes after Bharti Airtel claimed to be offering the fastest broadband at 16 Mbps speed.

BSNL’s high speed internet uses the Very high speed Digital Subscriber Loop (VDSL) Technology.  To get access, subscribers will have to pay a monthly rent of Rs.4999 for 16 Mbps speed and Rs.9999 for 24 Mbps speed.

Currently, the high speed internet service is available only for the customers who stay near to BSNL broadband exchange. 24 Mbps speed connection is available for those who stay within 500 meters range from the exchange and 16 Mbps for customers up to 1km range. At present BSNL does not have the capability to offer high-speed connection over longer distance .

Overall India’s Broadband speed is far behind other countries, for instance the Japan has 100 Mbps connection.
