Google is planning to launch next generation broadband network which provides Internet at speed of 100 times faster than most exiting broadband connections in the US.

The company is experimenting in many ways to offer Internet connection at a better and faster rate.

In the beginning the company plans to run a trial test later this year with as many as 500,000 people.

Google offers this service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people.

"We'll deliver internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today with 1 gigabit per second, fibre-to-the-home connections," said the Google Product Manager.

With this announcement it is very clear that the Search Giant is looking to expand its market beyond its core.

Previously, it has made an entry into mobile world with its Android operating system and Nexus One handset.
