Google has refined its search, so now users will start to see search results to include information from social networking sites. Google announced it yesterday on their official blog that now this social search will be available via google.com. Users can access photos or any information regarding their friends on the social networking sites in the search query by logging into their Google account.
The company feels that this would enhance the user to have a personal touch on seeing their friends and online contacts on their search result. Google has integrated the social search into its image search section. The search will include only information that has been made Publicly available. We can also sort the search result to see only content from our social circle by clicking "Show options" on the results page and clicking "Social."
The project had been announced last year by Marissa Mayer, vice president of search products and user experience, Google, at the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco.
