Do you have a PC that you are worried about viruses and phishing attacks? Well now you can secure your PC with MTNL.

How MTNL can secure your PC? F secure  and MTNL will now offer PC protection pack to its subscriber at an  low cost. The protection pack provides security against virus, malware and spyware. For advanced features like parental locks subscribers needs to activate a full pack for Rs.80 per month.

The price for the PC protection from MTNL and F Secure is just Rs. 2/ day.

"Since the cost of the pack is based on usage per day, the user doesn't have to worry about the annual charges and hassles of licence renewal," says Venu Palakirti, regional director, F-Secure. This security pack uses F- secure’s deepgaurd technology through “in the cloud” computing against the new threats to provide instant threats.

Many may have a doubt  if this would work on their pirated operating system. The answer is yes, because all know that everyone cannot afford to have licenced OS. So the company has offered this facility for home users as well as SMBs (Small and Medium Business users) . The company has targeted this pack at its customer base of nearly 1 million.

This is the F-secure’s first joint venture with a government organization. Previously the had partnered with Internet Service Providers such as Tata, Reliance , Sify etc.
