Imagine yourself driving your own car back to your own home without paying hefty monthly installments. If you are one of those who are waiting for your buyers guide, hold your breath. You can now own a house in just Rs. 4 lakh.
Tata Housing, a subsidiary of Tata Sons on Wednesday, announced that it would be offering ‘value homes’ at affordable prices under its ‘Shubh Griha’ project. To be housed in Boisar, which is two-and-a-half hours by train from Mumbai, the homes would cost between Rs 3.9 lakh to Rs 6.7 lakh, minus the registration fee.
The company will start the process by first distributing forms from this Saturday. Book your house by paying Rs 10,000 and the list of winners would be decided through a random selection process or lottery. If you win, you will have to pay the balance amount on the completion of the project — this will take two years.
I am pretty sure there will be an application fees to book your house and I am sure Tata is seeing some good profit in the booking process as Tata made Rs 18 crore from the Tata Nano booking process only and drawn Rs 2,500 crore from people willing to buy Tata Nano. No body has received any car yet.
Tata Housing is looking to enter cities like Nashik and Ludhiana and currently have projects in Bangalore, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Pune and Goa
