Paying your bill on time is always a headache. Specially when you have to go to that "special" place to pay the bill. Its like a planned activity. There are 10 Ways to Make Payments via Mobile In India using your mobile but that is limited to few types of transactions.

Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Sify has tied up to provide online services to Mumbai’s citizens at Sify's ePort cyber cafes. Mumbaians can now pay their water tax and property tax, renew shop and establishment licenses, apply for birth and death certificates, health licenses etc at the nearest Sify ePort cyber cafes.

Mumbai has around 250 e-port cafés where mumbai citizens can access this online facilities.

According to the press release, citizens need only follow a simple 4 step procedure to access MCGM’s services:

1) Carry the bill or reference number to the Sify e-port

2) The café host logs on to the MCGM website at www.mcgm.gov and confirms the bill/ name/ amount

3) The café host accepts the money and pays online on behalf of the citizen

4) The citizen is given the print out of the receipt

So basically anyone without having any internet connection can also pay their bills, renew their licenses at these cafes.
