The Trend Micro has issued a statement which said that Vodafone has been under fire for envelopment malware directly out of the box on their HTC Magic Android Smart Phones. The statement explained the infection also, “Plugging the phone in with a USB into any PC would lead to an infection by WORM_SILLY.QT”.
Ryan Flores is one of the leading threat investigator of Trend Micro, believes that most likely a system in Vodafone's production line has been purulent by WORM_SILLY.QT. And, because of the worm's capableness to move through secondary storage drives, someway SD cards in a predestined spate of Smart Phones were affected.
Fortunately, an employee of the antivirus company Panda Security was one of the acquirer of one of the malware-laden phones.
In an official statement by Vodafone, they had said that the infected phone problem was an isolated one.
