So to get an idea of how Mobile VAS is going forward, I asked readers to select the amount range for their monthly Mobile VAS expenditure. Here are the results.
54% people said that they are spending between 0 - $5 (Rs. 0 - Rs. 200) in their Mobile Value Added Services per month.
18% people said that they spend $5 - $15 (Rs. 200 - Rs.600) in their Mobile Value Added Services per month.
14% said they spend between $15 - $25 (Rs. 600 - Rs.1000) in their Mobile Value Added Services per month.
And only 14% said they spend above $25 (Rs. 1000) in their Mobile Value Added Services per month.
Now looking at this numbers, I don't think lot of people in India go for value added services or GPRS connections. So do you think people in India would fully utilize their iPhone (if they buy one)?
What's your take on Mobile VAS expenditure?
