After having introduced many path breaking services that have added great value to the Google’s users, the company is to present yet another feature that can make the life easy for the users of public transport systems in Chennai and Hyderabad. The commuters can get the Google Map’s feature of f figuring their desired bus routes. This is available both as online and mobile app. Google has already giving out information of public transport system and there is no doubt that many cities can benefit from this online information.

 

To use the facility, the users should first go to Google maps at maps.google.com and select the destination. They will be guided for the routes with directions. The interface will display the route and driving directions. There are two options to choose from. One is for private vehicles like cars and the other is the route direction for public transports including local railways.

If you would like to go for the information under the public transport, you will be informed about the route numbers and estimated time of the travel is displayed. You will be informed about the places where you have to board the train or bus.  Google has entered in to deals with major transport providers like BEST in Mumbai and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Delhi Transport Corporation for providing the information to the public on the net through online or mobile devices.

It is interesting to know that Google is providing this service to more than 400 cities around the world and no doubt the over stressed Indian commuters will find some relief.
