Last year we broke the story that Google Street View will be coming soon to India. Well today, Google India officially announced the project and the first city to get the Google Street View in India is Bengaluru aka Bangalore.

So now, you can visit the streets of bangalore in Google Maps even before you can physically be there.

Starting today, Google has rolled out the image collection process where cars with cameras built on top and the specially designed Google Trike three-wheel pedi-cab with a camera system mounted on top — will start gathering images from select locations in and around Bangalore, such as the Nrityagram Dance Village over the next few weeks.

So those of you who wants to do window shopping for Bengaluru's famous sarees and bengals and sweets can now just log into your Google Maps and start shopping!.. just kidding..
