Google India has joined hands with DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) to provide complete information of the metro rails service for their users. This new age system is made available through the Google Transit.
The mobile users too can get the information from Google transit which is made available in the Google Maps for Mobile phone. This new service helps many passengers who make their journey changes at the neck of time.
This is a free service launched in a view to benefit a wide range of travelers who visit the national capital every year. With the service we can get the information on train timings, station locations, frequency of service, time taken for travel and ticket fares.
DMRC also announced that they have added some new places to the Metro Rail network, so people from Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon would be benefitted.
How to use Google Maps to find Delhi Metro trains information?
- Go to Google Delhi Maps
- Zoom to your starting location. Lets say you are from Karol Bagh. Zoom the map to Karol Bagh
- Right click on the map where you are located in Karol Bagh, Click on "Directions from here". This will place a marker on the map called "A"
- Now scroll through the map and find your destination. Right click on the destination --> "Directions to here". This will place a marker on the map called "B".
- Now you will see a search result on the left pane that will have a drop down for "By Public Transit". Select that and you will see the list of available Delhi Metro Train timings and schedules that you can use for your journey.
