Mitsubishi Offers Rs. 10,000 Discount On Lancer
Mitsubishi Motoros on Thursday announced that it would offer a discount of Rs 10,000 on all models of its sedan Lancer. Lancer Models which were in the range of Rs. 6.55 lakh to Rs. 7.59 lakhs now would cost Rs. 6.45 lakh to Rs. 7.49 lakhs. This prices are ex-showroom prices in Delhi. (source:rediff)
Well first I thought, oh how generous Mitsubishi Motors India is that they are giving Rs. 10,000 discount on all Mitsubishi Lancer models. But wait a minute, if you think of this discount for a moment, its just 1.5% discount.
Are they joking with us or what? If somebody is going to buy a Rs. 6.55 lakh car, why would he think of Rs. 10,000 discount? If they would offer atleast 5-7% discount, people who plans to go Rs. 5 - 6 lakh range car can afford Lancer. I wonder what this Rs. 10,000 discount is going to do any good for their sell.
