The latest and newest born GSM Mobile service operator Uninor, launched Mobile Internet Services on GPRS on Friday 23.04.10 for its prepaid users across UP East & West, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Uninor also came up with a Promotional trial of unlimited FREE browsing till May 6. Later, GPRS/Data services will be accessible at 10p/10kb.
GPRS Tariff Plans:
It comes in two GPRS plans, myconnect 9 and myconnect 90 which is valid for 3 and 30 days and allows chargeless browsing up to 60 MB and 3 GB respectively.
For both GPRS plans, usage above limit will be rated at 10p per 10kb and allow access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In.
GPRS Settings:
Users don’t have to seek and download GPRS settings. Uninor’s Automatic Device Setting Server will download settings as soon as insert the SIM. The server detects the phone make and automatically sends settings. Accept and start surfing.
WAP Portal:
The "Myuninor WAP portal" has only 6 icons on the homepage and has got a lot. The portal will be faster and you don’t have to waste time and money for browsing. MMS charges will be Rs. 5.
