HTC has announced, from Taiwan, its new flagship phone device today. It is the smartphone, HTC One. It is likely to compete with Apple’s iPhone and other flagship Android devices. HTC One will be powered by Google’s Android Jelly Bean which is known as 4.1. It will use the new version of Sense which is a user interface developed by HTC. It will be proprietary.
This phone will be made available next month in selected countries. The Indian launch date is not finalized yet. In the last year, HTC lost its grip on the market share for smartphones. It is looking forward to retrieve some ground with this new phone. It has pulled out all the stops in its marketing of HTC One and has packed it with the best hardware available to it now.
The smartphone has a metal design and is powered by a Qualcomm quad-core processor which runs at 1.70 GHz. It has a 4.7 inch screen with 1080 pixels resolution. It features 2GB RAM. The phone will be available with both 32GB and 64GB internal storage. There is not going to be any support for microSD card.
The smartphone has a 2.1 mega pixel camera and this is its extra ordinary feature. It also has a battery with a 2300mAh capacity. The primary camera is the phone’s highlight as per HTC because it is a result of an innovative technology which is reported to be better than the technology used by cameras in the phones existing in the market today.
