Sony Music Releases Unlimited Music Edition on Android

World’s most prestigious company Sony has recently released an unlimited online music streaming services for Smartphones running Google's Android system. Android the leading Smartphone OS has already taken leap in the market by capturing shares of other operators like Nokia & RIM. It will allow companies to grow their users in terms of Music listeners, the key advantage to entertainment giant.


Sony launched its digit music service in December based on Clouding technology. Today it has presence in the market of Europe, United States, and Australia & New Zealand. Service allows users to stream millions of songs online. Due to amid competitions in the market from Cloud based competitors like Amazon & Apple, Sony have been forced to launch such unlimited service.

While commenting on this motion, company said it would re-establish all Qriocity online music and video distribution services everywhere except Japan after shutting it and the PlayStation Network down in April after hackers’ stolen personal data from 100 million accounts. Company still favors the earliest services because of demands in the market. Just to full fill gap came out with sudden breakthrough, internal sources reveal.

Newly launched app will be available on Smartphones running on Android & Playstation 3 devices. Certain features are also made available on Internet-Connected Sony Television & Blu-ray players. Unlimited app will be available to users in the United States, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Britain, Australia and New Zealand. Company quoted monthly subscription of $3.99 whereas it comes out with complete catalogue of seven millions of licensed songs. Songs come under labels of Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, EMI Music and independent labels.

With this, Sony has cleared its intention on Cloud based market where Apple recently unveiled its iCloud service that offers music storage, photos & other web contents. Similarly Amazon also launched its Cloud Drive & Player service in March, which allows users to store & play on computer or Android devices.

In the past few months, many companies have shifted their concentration towards developments in Android OS. Now rising such stiff competitions would be again the prime reason behind sudden launch. It will favor trendy cum competitive services in the Smartphone industry.
