Audemars Piguet carries a reputation for making technically sophisticated fashion and luxury timepieces. It presently makes three collections for men and women. They are the Sports Collection, the Classic Collection and the Contemporary Collection. There are many reasons why you may invest in Audemars Piguet watches.

First, the watches are made using conventional and old fashioned handmade styles. A designing process that is not automated allows them to adapt and offer customized service as they will gladly accommodate you if you would prefer a strap that is personalized with your specific instructions. If you are able to afford, you have to invest in their watches as they have many world firsts to their reputation.

In 1986, for example, they made the first extra thin tourbillon movement design and that still stands as the smallest ever made. Despite their fame globally and their success, they are still managed by members of the pioneer families and are one of the world’s oldest watch manufacturers.Audemars Piguet is also famous for their technical innovations besides being classic fashion and luxury watchmakers. Their extremely rare Jules Audemars Clinton Foundation’s Equation of Time Watch which was released in 2007 is a good example of their dynamic innovation as the watch is fully capable of giving sunrise and sunset times and lunar movements. When Audemars Piguet Watches came out with the world’s first sports watch with the Royal Oak in 1972, they were the pioneers in stainless steel designs. Hundreds of watchmakers followed suit after that. The Royal Oak became famous for its distinct dial and its octagonal bezel with a Calibre 3120 movement. They came out later with an advanced sports version of the standard Royal Oak and called it the Royal Oak Offshore. It has water resistance and an anti magnetic protection. It has a heavy 42mm case which is an additional 3mm larger than the original 1972 version.
