No you can never control the real SUN with your iDevices but hey, artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, famous for his interactive art, has harnessed the latest technology from Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to create one of his largest projects ever – a 3D, animated, scale model of the sun.
There is a 14m animated scale model of the sun that is suspended in the air, where it can be by an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
The "sun" is beamed onto the helium-filled balloon sun with five projectors, using actual NASA images that display real sun effects including turbulence, flares and spots; visible to the passersby beneath - minus the searing heat, of course, where you can then use your portable Apple device to manipulate it as though you were a god.
Pretty interesting..
