Oddcast is a company which develops and distributes speaking avatar products for the Enterprise (www.oddcast.com), small and medium businesses (www.sitepal.com) and the consumer (www.voki.com) markets. Today OddCast has announced the sneak preview release of a new technology called 3D VideoStar which allows you to morph your photo to the prescribed video scene.
The service is not available to the public yet but looks like a fun tool to play around with. You can upload your picture to the site, select the video you want to customize, once morphed share it with your friends and family. You can record your own voice in the video as well as view daily stats.
I am not sure if OddCast's 3D VideoStar will allow users to upload their own videos and morph their pictures to it or you have to pick the videos available on their site?? It would be more killer if they allow to upload your own videos. Then you can upload your Dhoom 2 videos and create a viral video as if you worked with Aishwarya Rai!! (via:TechCrunch)
This reminded me of another website which allows you to put your picture on the front page of popular magazines like Times, GQ, Motor Trend, Life, Ele, Style etc. You can upload your picture and create a custom style for the magazine. To make it more spicy, you can even order that magazine with your picture on the cover page. That is pretty cool. The website is called MagMyPic.com
