Mission Impossible IV is the livewire release of the year from Hollywood. It is outstanding. The film can be given AAAA rating. Brad Bird has done an excellent job of directing this firecracker of a film.
Tom Cruise has performed some hair rising stunts albeit with the help of the CG team and the art direction team. He is approaching the fifties but he has proved himself to his audiences. He will definitely be scaling the tallest heights of the world box office. Ever since his first film, `Risky Business’ that was released in 1983; Cruise has been involved with some great projects. His `Top Gun’, that came out in 1986 fetched the producers about $380 million. $340 million were made on his `Rain Man’.
The audiences were able to sense the fierce determination to excel. Tom Cruise represents almost a quarter century of star power. The nineteen nineties saw him in good films like `A Few Good Men’, `Interview with the Vampire’, `Jerry Maguire’ and the first edition of the Mission Impossible series. That was also a cracker of a film, thanks to some good support from Jon Voight.
Cruise did two great projects for Steven Spielberg in `Minority Report’ and `War of the Worlds’. The film, `Vanilla Sky’, got the producers a hundred million dollars a decade ago.
‘Ghost Protocol’ lives up to the Mission Impossible name with big set pieces and nonstop action of the highest cadre. It can easily be rated as the best film seen this year. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go see this film if you have not seen it already!
