Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been rested for next month limited over tri series in Bangladesh, said the BCCI sources.

The 36 year old was not named in the 16 man Indian squad  for the tri nation series , also featuring Sri Lanka. The matches will be held in Capital Dhaka from 4-13^th Jan. Cricket Board Secretary N.Srinivasan Said that, however, Tendulkar will be available for test matches against Bangladesh.

Fast bowlers Ishant Sharma and Praveen Kumar have been dropped , Ashok Dinda and  Sreeshanth ,who missed the Sri Lankan series due to swine flu was included in the 16 man squad.

Left hand batsmen Yuvraj Singh, despite missing three of the first four matches in the home series against Sri Lanka, was retained in the squad. Middle-order batsman Rohit Sharma, was recalled .
