I think this is the first time Aishwarya, who is always seen in western outfit for her international appearances, made a switch over to Indian outfit designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee at the sixth day of Cannes Film Festival, the most prestigious and world's oldest film festival.

Aishwariya Rai shocked everyone at the red carpet as she walked in Indian outfit with her husband Abhishek Bachchan during the premiere of 'Outrage'.

The sari was studded with stone and had a low neck blouse and on that she wore less of jewelry.

"The look was glamourised and it brought back memories of Ash in the film Guru. I also loved the make-up,” Ritu Kumar told NDTV.

On May 23, 2002, Aishwariya Rai was seen in a sari at Cannes Film Festival first at the premiere of 'Devdas' that fascinated everyone at the red carpet.

But ever since the 2003 outfit disaster, when her green sari and chappals at the 'Dogville' premiere were criticized even by the unfashionable, the brand L'Oreal made sure that she wears designer outfits.
