Ranbir Kapoor is trying to emphasize the salesman’s life through his recent movies 'Rocket Singh - Seller of the Year' grew awry, as the film fell flat at the box office.Produced and distributed by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the film was directed by Shimit Amin, Jaideep Sahni Screenplay with "Chak De! India’ fame.

Being made on a shoe-string budget of around 5 crore ‘Rocket Singh’ could not bring the expected footfalls, says experts.

 

"Rocket Singh’ has not been satisfactory, and made very bad business. The occupancy has dropped to 25 %Monday from an average of just over 68 % during the weekend, said' Amit Awasthi, manager (programming and operation) of the Spice Cinemas in Noida, IANS.

“The story is not being appreciated as the second half of the film is very slow and dull, and the climax is not to be entirely satisfactory”, he added.

The movie lacks mass appeal - audiences could not associate with it considering its content on sales guys, etc. So, the weekend was only average but not up to expectations,' said Raizada.

The movie also killed Ranbir’s hattrick dream, after delivering one after the other hits with ‘Wake Up Sid’ and Ajab Prem Ki Kahani Ghazab’.
