One more Bollywood entertainment channel from India. Yes, NDTV Imagine group who launched its NDTV Imagine channel is now all set to launch their 24/7 bollywood masala new channel Imagine Showbiz on 15 August 2008. According to exchange4media, Imagine Showbiz would focus on Bollywood business and entertainment. Imagine Showbiz is an outcome of a 51:49 joint venture between NDTV Imagine and Cinestar Advertising.

Harsh Rohatgi, EVP, Revenue Management and New Ventures, NDTV Imagine explains that there are no Bollywood-dedicated channel at present. Are you kidding me? All the channels in India are dedicated to bollywood only. I am so pissed at Zee news that they have freaking 50% of the time is dedicated to only bollywood. There are channels like Zoom (I like zoom though :-)), Bindaas, Colors, 9X etc.

Imagine Showbiz is also planning to launch its portal ImagineShowbiz.com (it currently shows "coming soon" message). Probably, NDTV Imagine group is planning to put their TV show's synopsis on their portal ImagineShowbiz.com and will try to engage viewers.


So what can we expect from Imagine Showbiz? Celebrities bitching about each other and who earns how much? Who dates who and who dumps who? Who had plastic surgery and who had done breast implant and what size..Its all full of crap anyways. But hey, if that's what Indian viewers want, why not...atleast its better than watching those I hate Ekta Kapoor's TV shows.

Look out for celebrity lafdas. Now celebrities have to deal with few more reporters and channels. LOL
