One of the most popular FM radio station in India Radio City 91.1 has just launched a new mega music portal to provide music related news, feeds, articles for musically inclined people, music professional and members of the music industry. It is sort of a networking platform where musicians, artists, industry experts and music enthusiasts can get together and share their ideas, views and music.

The mega music portal is called PlanetRadioCity.com. The site has six to seven sections including Artist Space/Friends of Music where music enthusiast can create their fan club and get their fan followings, review music albums, groups or you can create your own radio station.

You can also find lyrics for Indian movie songs such as Kismat Konnection, Singh is King or Jannat etc. The Lyrics search lists Hottest Lyrics, Fresh Stuff, Newly Added sections as well as lists popular searches. Another interesting section is Musicopedia where you get to read about the who’s who of the Music world, flaunt your music knowledge by contributing, surf through reams of music trivia.

Best of all, PlanetRadioCity.com has a Planet Radio section where you can listen to Celebrity Interviews, Movie songs etc by creating your own play list with drag and drop feature. Users can select the audio clip of their interest and can drag and drop into the player pane. They can add multiple audio tracks from different categories and can enjoy thier playlist. I think I am going to use this section the most. I love music and love to listen to songs when I am working on my computer.

The site looks good and can give a good competition to sites like Muziboo.com - Social Network for Music Beginners which also caters to music enthusiasts.
