Breaking: A veteran Bollywood actress Sachala Sachdev who worked as mother of many bollywood actors in 70's has passed away today on April 30th 2012 in Pune hospital.

Achala Sachdev was born in Peshawar in 1920 and started her career in All India Radio, Lahore before India Pakistan separation.

According to the reports Achala Sachdev had fractured her left leg after a fall in her house six months ago. A clot was diagnosed in the artery near her heart through an MRI scan, which eventually broke into small clots and made a place in her brain vessels.

Achala Sachdev worked in more than 150 films like Haqeeqat', 'Waqt', 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Julie'. Check out Achala Sachdev's popular song "Chhaila mera Chhaila" starring herself in Rajesh Khanna's movie Chhailla Babu
