Rajinikant, who has achieved super-star status, is a cultural icon in South India. All his fans rejoice the news that he is set to come home from Singapore, where he was undergoing treatment for kidney related condition. As is widely reported, Rajini was hospitalized on the very first day of shooting his new film Rana after complaining exhaustion. After this incident on April 19^th, he was in hospital twice.

 

The good news is that he is coming back to Chennai by Singapore Airlines and the same is confirmed by his family members. The much awaited shooting of Rana will resume soon according to the sources but the doctors have advised the actor to have a month’s rest before resuming work. Rajinikant, aged 62 years has undergone intensive treatment for the kidney related diseases for six weeks and is still recuperating.

Rajini has written a letter acknowledging his gratitude for the good will and prayers of his innumerable fans that helped to save him. No wonder that, the fans are ecstatic about the return of Rajinikant from the serious ailment as he is no less than a demi-god to them.

Unlike many other famed actors in the star-crazy populace of India, Rajinikant has gained many other distinctions like winning Padma Bhushan and being named the most influential personality in South Asia region by Asia Week. Forbes India has also honored him recognizing him as the most influential Indian In the year 2010.
