The twitter co-founder Bizstone wrote at the official twitter blog that now the football fans have the unique opportunity to connect and interact with players, teams and brands using Twitter. The new page consists of live widgets, Top tweets and real time search put together in a one page.
The algorithm of top tweets chooses and retweets the most interesting tweets for the World cup. The View match link enables the users to see live stream of updates for the matches between two countries. When Twitter users want to tweet anything about the World cup and use the hash tag of the World cup any where in the text a football tag appears next to it. This icon although can be seen on twitter interface only. If you use the first thee initials of the following countries-BRA (Brazil),ESP(Spain), ENG(England), Flags of the respective countries will appear on the tweets.
